Toney Handsome: The Genre-Bending Long Beach Artist & Producer

Long Beach Artist-Producer, Toney Handsome is a multifaceted DJ who bends genres fusing Hip Hop elements to his Jersey Club/House music core. There’s no doubt his music matches his high-energy sets that provide both a therapeutic & nostalgic refuge to all music enthusiasts whether he’s curating the perfect House & Jersey Club set or staying true to his hip-hop roots. His influences range from Pharrell, and The Dream to Skrillex, TroyBoi and Brick Bandits.

In his early days, Handsome dominated the Hip Hop scene packing out shows with Hip Hop’s biggest names and securing residencies in Vegas and LA. In 2013, Handsome fell in love with Jersey Club after listening to DJ Sliinks remix of Cashmere Cat and Miguel’s “Do You”. With his heart and ear always in the House scene, Handsome began releasing his own Jersey Club edits.

2017 was a pivotal year for Toney Handsome, marked by the success of his viral remix of SZA’s “Love Galore”. The remix graced many stages, most notably being played during SZA’s “CTRL” tour and AlisonWonderland’s Wonderland Radio show. Years later in 2020, Handsome’s “Baila Con Migo” Jersey Club Remix also caught the wind, taking over the festival circuits, as well as being played on Mad Decent Live and Diplo Radio.

Handsome has a residency in Insomniac’s own Time Night Club and shared stages with the likes of EDM’s biggest names such as DJ Snake, Troy Boi, Valentino Khan, Joyryde, 4B, JSTJR, SLUSHII, & What So Not. His very early dominance in the Hip Hop world has allowed Handsome to blaze a trail of his own Hip Hop influenced Jersey Club & House music sound.
