Jukebox Times is today featuring the new album by artist Zen Gnarly. It is titled Lithium Nicola and comprises tracks titled Lost My Mind, Smart Cities, Forget, Live, DAYS, Translation and many more riveting numbers (27 in total!). Apart from being a full-fledged collection of numerous captivating songs the true asset of the album lies in its sonic variety. Lost My Mind definitely rattles us and grips us right away. The disarranged melodic tones, unconventional arrangement and evocative vocals make it an ideal song for a musical hybrid album of its age.
New World is intriguing with vibrant synths and melody brimming with heavy experimentation. By the time you get over the addictive tune of New World there comes tracks titled Forget and Pixie. With mellow beats, a surreal vibe and free-flowing vocals it strikes us that the creativity is brilliantly harnessed by the artist for each and every song.
The album ends with tracks titled Translation and Plenty and the distinct storytelling aspect of Zen certainly allured us. By the time you listen to all 27 tracks from the album one wonders, what is Lithium Nicola? Probably it is the most nonconforming sound you would have ever heard in the world of music. But in reality, it is Zen Gnarly’s distinctness when it comes to freedom of expression in the form of creativity. And if one is looking to define his sound in the realm of words then surely his music is avant-garde!
Lithium Nicola is currently streaming on major music streaming services.
